By Adam Gotkin
In the first episode of Teachers Talking Transformation, Adam Gotkin spoke with high school educator KA about equity at an extremely diverse high school.
KA: It’s their show. It’s a student show. Does this accurately represent us? And it’s like, no. Not really. And so it’s like we started talking about murals and the history of murals.
Education also teaches you the value of discipline, that the greatest rewards come not from instant gratification, but from sustained effort.

We spoke about how leadership is the key to moving forward.
KA: That leadership for me, it’s all the administrators, meet every week, Tuesdays after school, to kinda discuss the most important things about the school just so everyone’s on the same page and the same messages can be delivered to everybody.
