On my level I guess, I think being a Black woman, I’ve been constantly expected to put in the work into other people in my personal life, but also in the grand scheme of America and what they expect of Black women – to be the blueprint and the foundation but also be constantly disregarded in spaces. So I seek that softness. One of my ultimate dreams is to be able to have a partner that I can rely on in ways that is rooted in companionship.
