My dream is to live where I want without judgment or drastic consequences. I want to work at a job that gives me a sense of fulfillment without costing my
sense of joy and freedom. I want to watch my family grow with pride. I want to grow old without fears and insecurities.
Currently, I am experiencing the most fulfilling period of my life. I dedicated several years to the field of Graphic Design, which I studied in school. During
my career, I advanced to the roles of Art Director and Creative Director. However, after being laid off, I faced challenges in finding a position as rewarding as my previous ones. Consequently, I decided to change careers. My current career in technology provides me with a sense of pride and fulfillment,
though it does not solely define me. My entire life defines me. I continue to design, but now I do it on my terms.
I grew up in the American Northeast during the eighties and experienced a lot of bigotry. I was not an activist, I just made the mistake of walking into the wrong
neighborhoods. “The world is bigger than this neighborhood.” My Mother’s words always influenced my desire to see more and not accept how things are
in this tiny part of the country. Our country is filled with diverse beauty and wonders. The hardest part of appreciating this beauty is not growing up to
become a closed book.
