Author’s Note

As a straight, white male born into the top 1% of American socioeconomic classes, N believes that only those in his demographic can achieve the American Dream, as that is for whom it is built and popularized for. Although individual interpretations of the Dream are different – his being to be able to pursue music and other hobbies/interests that make him happy without having to worry about any financial burdens – he believes it can only be achieved by those within a specific caste and with specific means/privilege who are born into position to achieve it.

Most outside of this archetype are not in any position to do so, but by no means because things they have done in their lives, only because of the caste they were born into does not provide them with adequate privilege to achieve any form of the American Dream (or what N believes has been popularized as the American Dream).

N believes that this caste, which most don’t think exists in American society, is emblematic of the straight white men that have dominated the country for centuries and that the American Dream is only made for them to achieve, despite media representations that American “wants” everyone and that everyone in America can achieve a hard-working American Dreams, which is ultimately an untruthful claim.
