When you get older, you realize the American Dream is not real. The longer you believe in it, the harder the slap to the face when you cannot get the job you want or you cannot provide for your family.

When I was in America, I realized that some people don’t have health insurance. They didn’t even get free days off after giving birth! After carrying a child for nine months, you don’t even get free days?!

From the outside looking in, I thought the American Dream was having opportunities and just the government helping people get ahead. But getting ahead is easier in Europe.

I know how it is to see something else. I wish for people who still believe in the American Dream to live in a different country for a year and see that it might be better.
